Patrollers

Reminder: Tomorrow night is the Spring Concert for Division 2 students. I hope to get as many students out as possible to show some great school spirit! Homework: Read for 20 minutes. Daily Learning: Last week students completed their human sexuality lessons. Those lessons are done for the year. This week we are working on area and perimeter in math and the students will be creating their very own zoos. In LA, the daily 5 continues with the students writing a picture prompt story today to demonstrate their learning. In science we have completed our chemistry unit and tests have been given back and we looked at the weather today along with taking up our unit test. In social studies, the students continue to learn about how the Canadian identity formed and we have talked about industrialization and urbanization this week. jaberry@cbe.ab.ca

 Reminder: There is no school Friday or Monday. There is a school dance Thursday evening from 6 to 8. Homework: Read for 20 minutes. Study for chemistry test. Their study guide can be found on our Google Classroom. Daily Learning: The Daily 5 continued as usual (If you would like a reminder as to what this entails, please feel free to email me for more details). In math, we practiced our basic facts in anticipation for our next basic facts quiz. In language arts, we finished typing up our opinion writing and in science we reviewed for our science unit text in chemistry which is tomorrow. In science, we reviewed our classroom chemistry unit. There will be a unit test on Thursday. In math, we continued with our lessons on volume and will be wrapping this up shortly with a small quiz. Reminder: Tomorrow is wear a hat day for mental health awareness. Friday is red shirt day. Homework: Read for 20 minutes per night. Daily Learning: The daily 5 continued as usual. This is independent reading, shared reading, practice writing and word work. I also do a read aloud of a class now el. In math we continued with our statistics and probability assignment and should be done with this tomorrow. In social studies, we talked about the numbered treaties that were formed after confederation and continued our robocoding program on the computers. Jaberry@cbe.ab.ca
