Reminders : If your child would like to be a patroller, please return the form as soon as possible. If you would like to contribute to the food drive, please bring your nonperishable items tomorrow as we aren't sure when they are coming to pick them up. Friday is the last day of school before winter break and also the pillar of care assembly. Classes will resume on Jan 4th, 2022. Homework : Read for 20 minutes per night. Daily Learning : Daily 5 continued as usual. In math, we continued to work on rotations of 2d shapes. In social studies, we are looking at Indigenous people in the early 1800's and how they interacted with the settlers from Europe. In science, we have started to talk about what electricity actually is and how conductors work. jaberry@cbe.ab.ca

Reminders: Wednesday is Pajama Day, Thursday is Plaid Day, and Friday is Winter Holiday Themed Day with the Pillars of Care Assembly. Homework: Read for 20 minutes per night. Daily Learning: Daily 5 continues as usual. We are almost done reading our class novel Magnus Chase. In math, we continue with transformations and the students have perfected translations and reflections but are still working on rotations of 2d shapes. In science, we are beginning to look at electricity and the weather. In social studies, we have started to look at the early 1800's in Canada. jaberry@cbe.ab.ca

Homework: Read for 20 minutes. Reminder: No school winter concerts tonight or tomorrow night. Daily Learning: The daily 5 continue as usual everyday. The students started planning for their Heroes Journey and we continue our work with translations. In social studies, the students continue on their famous Canadian project and in science we will be beginning electricity shortly.
